The 1990's
The 1990s is the decade where photographs completely take over film posters. Again, the elements are the same; tag line on top and the actors' names are on top of the title card. The background is filled up with photographs of actors looking off-screen. Example, Tom Hanks in “Forrest Gump” sitting on the bench looking left; Pachino, De Niro, and Kilmer looking in all sides of the poster. The posters are becoming formulaic.
