The 1950s is the decade that started to be a little more conceptual in its designs. Instead of making the characters the most prominent element on the poster suggested elements like the knife in “12 Angry Men” or the cut-off limbs of a silhouetted body in “Anatomy of a Murder.” The designers played around with the title names like the people cheering on top of the “Ben-Hur” title.
