The 1930s is the start of the golden age of films. Its the decade with a vast, variety of genres (gangsters, horror, musicals, biopics, westerns, etc.). It's also the decade where "sound" has become the norm. The posters in the 30s, of course, focuses on the characters of the story; usually on the faces. James Cagney and Jean Harlow are front and center in “The Public Enemy,” as well as, Boris Karloff as the monster and King Kong. The text is more prominent, vivid and more exaggerated than the text in the 1920s.
